Choose from the Paragon SC2, SC2 Pro, SC3, BlueBird, Caldera, CS ClamShell, Darby, Dragon, F Elite, FibreFuse, FireFly, Fusion, GL, HomeArtist, HT, Iguana, Janus, KM, Ovation, Pearl, PMT, TNF, Trifecta, Trio, Viking, Vulcan, W, and Xpress kilns.
They all have built-in automatic digital programmers: a comprehensive Sentry Xpress 3-key or a professional Sentry 12-key. And there's a choice of colours, shelf kits, options, and upgrades.
The internet is an unchecked arena: almost everything is the best, the cheapest, or the newest, and is being sold by a premier dealer. To add to the lack of clarity, final prices often only appear at the checkout.
Prices here are transparent: they're for UK-EU voltage, CE marked, CL CSA approved, and TUV tested kilns, and include comprehensive instructions, UK VAT, and free continuing support from a top-tier international distributor. Most smaller kilns include a pro shelf kit: most larger kilns have several optional kits.

|USING THIS RESOURCE||WHAT TO CLICK ON|
Nearly everything is just one click away: use the links above and below the menu bar near the top of the page to switch resources, learn more, shop on line, or mail a question. The links will change colour just before you click.
There are very few clickable links in the text. However, there are lots of mouse-over words that generate context-sensitive pop-ups: a useful, and optional, way of explaining things. Try it here.
This is an information-rich resource and every kiln is described in detail. Although it works on a phone, pad, and tablet, it's better on a larger screen.

|A PREVIEW OF THE PARAGON SC2||THE UK'S FAVOURITE JEWELLERY AND ENAMELLING KILN|
The Paragon SC2 is a 1095°C, square, front-opening, plug-in, table-top, ceramic fibre kiln, with a ramp-hold Sentry Xpress 3-key digital programmer. In Paragon blue or customised berry, black, jade, navy, pink, purple, or turquoise.
The SC2 is one of the SC series kilns: the medium SC2, the taller SC3, the larger SC4, and three stylish SC2 Pro versions with stainless-steel doors, stay-cool wooden door-handles, silent long-life solid-state relays, and tilted easy-view ramp-hold programmers.
The SC2 Pro-3 has a regular door and a 3-key programmer, the SC2D Pro-3 has a drop-down door and a 3-key programmer, and the SC2 Pro-12 has a regular door and a 12-key programmer.
With one exception, they can all be made as a B version with a bead-annealing door, a W version with a heat-resistant glass viewing-window, or a BW version with both. The exception is the SC4.
Our SC2 and SC3 kilns are not the standard US-international models.
They have a lever door-latch, not the standard fiddlesome ball-catch; a durable pro cordierite shelf with four props, not the standard economy fibre shelf; a long-life nickel-chromium K-type thermocouple; and a programmer software modification that slows down the heating just before the target temperature, reducing any overshoot and improving the accuracy.
The Paragon SC2 is probably the most popular jewellery kiln in the UK and ideal for a home hobby, small business, or studio. You can fire metal clays on several shelves, anneal beads, do enamelling, fuse glass, work with dichroic glasses, try low-fire ceramics, and heat-treat metals.
Some bronze and copper clays need to be embedded in activated charcoal granules in a stainless steel container: the SC-2 can hold a one-litre container. You can buy charcoals and pans in the on-line shop.
To learn more about the Paragon SC2 and other SC kilns, use the sc2-sc3 link near the top-left of the page, then use the shop link near the top-right of the page. Prices include comprehensive instructions, a pro shelf kit, and UK VAT.

With one exception, they can all be made as a B version with a bead-annealing door, a W version with a heat-resistant glass viewing-window, or a BW version with both. The exception is the Q11A.
The E12A made for Cherry Heaven heats to 1230°C and is 221mm high inside, although it can be upgraded to 1260°C or 1290°C. In the US, the E12A only heats to 1095°C and is 152mm high inside.
The Paragon E12A is probably the most popular high-temperature mixed-media kiln in the UK and ideal for materials and processes that need a long, high-temperature, firing sequence, and can use a regular 13A socket. You can fire metal clays on several shelves, anneal beads, do enamelling, fuse glass, work with dichroic glasses, fire ceramics and porcelain, and heat-treat metals.
Some bronze and copper clays need to be embedded in activated charcoal granules in a stainless steel container: the Xpress E-12A can hold a three-litre container. You can buy charcoals and pans in the on-line shop.

The KM-18T XL and KM-24T XL are twice as wide as the KM-18T and KM-24T. In the US, the XL kilns are called double-barrel.
The Paragon KM kilns are probably the most popular knife-making furnaces in the UK, EU, and US, and ideal for materials and processes that need a long, stable, high-temperature, heat-treating sequence.

|UK-EU-US REGULATIONS AND GENERAL SAFETY|
US-made ceramic-fibre kilns, such as the Paragon SC2 Pro, have elements that are safely embedded in the rigidised fibre: so there's no danger of a mains-voltage electric shock. And they're CE marked, TUV tested, and CL and CSA approved.
However, US-made firebrick kilns, such as the Paragon Fusion 8, have elements in recessed grooves in the bricks that are exposed when the kiln is open. UK and EU regulations require an additional switch, included in the price, which cuts off the power if the kiln is opened.
It'll be too late to think about safety practices after an accident. Apart from kilns and accessories, the on-line shop includes heat-resistant ceramic blocks and cloths, digital reminder-timers, fire extinguishers, heat-resistant gloves, glare-resistant glasses, and clear protective glasses. These are all in the on-line shop.
All particulates represent a health risk if they're breathed in, so it's important to wear a HEPA mask when mixing powders, handling charcoal, sanding dried metal-clays, and cleaning out your kiln. And, ideally, use clear protective glasses.
It's important to have your fire extinguisher near your kiln. Read the instructions as soon as you unpack it, learn how to treat burns, buy a basic first aid kit, and fit a smoke alarm. Although I've never heard of a fire caused by a kiln.
|ACCESSORIES, PARTS, MATERIALS, TOOLS, AND TUMBLERS|
There's a wide range of kiln options, kiln furniture, accessories, spare parts, materials, precision tools, safety equipment, polishers, and tumblers. To learn more, use the accessories link below the menu bar near the top of the page.
|ELECTRIC KILNS INTERNATIONAL|
is a Cherry Heaven internet resource. It's a top-tier international distributor for Texas-made Paragon kilns, furnaces, ovens, accessories, and tools, and has been one of their top-selling partners from 2006 to : a pleasing outcome since the UK is only one third the area of Texas and one fortieth the area of the US.
As this is an on-line resource, there isn't a paper catalogue or a price list. However, you can mail or call a technician about kilns, power supplies, public area safety, a special project, business ideas, diagnostics, repairs, or reselling opportunities.
Cherry Heaven was the name of the design studio in Kensington, West London, then the shop in Corfe Castle, Dorset. It's now an on-line distributor and retailer in West Holme, Dorset, South-West England. Although there's no longer a real shop, Cherry Heaven is still the working name.
The surrounding countryside includes green farmland, dramatic heritage cliffs, pretty stone cottages, historic buildings, sandy beaches, protected coves, open heathland, hill-top panoramic views, market towns, and peaceful villages. And lively seaside resorts. To look at some photos, use the dorset link below the menu bar near the top of this page.
Paragon Industries started as a family business in 1948. It's now the world's leading manufacturer of kilns and furnaces, and has built over 440,000 in 4,000 variants. The 6,700 square-metre site, in Mesquite, Texas, USA, has 67 full-time staff.
During manufacture, every kiln is checked at every stage by a technician and signed-off before shipping. They're simply but robustly engineered, and you're buying a comprehensive, versatile, safe, low-cost kiln: a kiln with a future.
Paragon kilns are TUV tested, and CL and CSA approved for the US, and are CE Marked for the EU. Paragon is Greek for Model Of Perfection.
|CLASSES AND COURSES|
The Kitiki Studio provided an Art Clay educational programme, as classes, masterclasses, workshops, and Art Clay Level 1 and Level 2 certification. However, as we're in a rural area, I now recommend teachers that might be nearer, so mail or call.
