| NOTES |
Cherry Heaven TV has encoded the programmes to a net-standard FLV format of 320px x 240px. Other parameters have been set to achieve a practical balance of audio and video quality set against a likely data-streaming rate.
However, they're all over 1MB so, if you're not on a fast internet connection, they might pause and continue occasionally if the data stream can't keep up with the demands of the player.
If you're using a notebook computer, the audio quality will probably be poor and not loud enough. To remedy this, you need some external loudspeakers:
The Cherry Heaven USB Stereo Loudspeakers don't need batteries, installing, or setting up: they're powered by the computer's USB socket and driven by the stereo-out socket. To learn more, use the Cherry Heaven link above the menu bar near the top of the page.
External loudspeakers will improve your enjoyment of music cds, mp3 tracks, on-line movies, dvd movies, video camera movies, games, youtube, and net-phone applications.
| WORKING ON YOUR KILN |
Before working on your kiln, unplug the power cable. If you need to test or remove any internal parts, lay the kiln on a folded blanket to prevent any scratches or damage.
Some screws might have been put in with an industrial electric screwdriver, so will be tight. Take care removing them: a good screwdriver is better than the free one that came with self-assembly furniture. Similarly, for nuts: a flat spanner or a box spanner is better than pliers.
If you have to drill new holes in the kiln, make sure the drill bit doesn't suddenly push all the way through the metal and damage something you can't see.
If you need to use a multi-meter to check that there's a voltage on an element, the kiln must be on and running: take care using the meter leads. If you need to check if an element has a break, unplug the kiln.
The Kitiki MultiMeter is ideal for checking and repairing your kiln. You can check the mains voltage, the plug fuse, the kiln fuse, the transfomer, the relay, and the elements.
A multimeter is a useful tool. You can test batteries, bulbs, cables, christmas lights, doorbells, fuses, power adapters, relays, switches, and wires, as well check most domestic electrical equipment. You can buy a multi-meter in the on-line shop.
Although this is an internet resource, you can still mail or call an engineer for help: there's no charge. If you don't feel confident about repairs, ask someone with mechanical and electrical experience. Alternatively, the kiln can be returned to Cherry Heaven although, allowing for two-way carriage and repair time, this is the longer and more expensive option.
